Chevrolet in their infinite wisdom made the evaporator an install only. Cannot be opened as the connectors corrode. Expansion valve is inside the evaporator. Expansion valve was the problem, but no way to get in the evaporator without destroying it. So a $30 expansion valve turned into an $1800 evaporator change.
