There is a recall for my year of Colorado but not my vin. The recall is for 04-09 Colorado trucks for a defective brake light switch. Defective switch=no brake lights. My 2007 Colorado brake light switch is defective, therefore I have no brake lights. The switch has been tested and found to be defective, but a search of my vin shows no recalls. It's obvious that my vehicle and likely many more vehicles are effected than what are covered under this recall.

Have been having issues with the ABS brakes for the last five years on my 07 Colorado. Told that the right sensor was bad and had replaced for $400. About a year later the ABS warning would come on and go off all day. You could always hear the system make noise and you knew that the fault light would come on. Toop back to dealer, couldn't say what the problem was until it went out for good. Drove for about a year and had enough and just took it in to another dealer. The wiring harness for the ABS had to be replaced. Cost $741 to replace. Original owner of this truck. See that I am not the only one with this problem with the ABS.

I was slowing down at an intersection to make a right hand turn. As I made the turn, my engine died. I lost power steering, and my vehicle was extremely difficult to control. I nearly hit another car. My engine restarted immediately after I placed the truck in park. The next day, my truck died again while slowing to enter an intersection. I immediately took it to a mechanic, who replaced the throttle body. On the way home, it died while make a right hand turn. This appears to be a common failing with the Chevrolet Colorado, and is very dangerous as it causes a loss of power steering.

On 10/10/2012 I was driving at 30 mph and went to brake for a car in front of me and the brakes just grabbed and released and I thought I was going to hit the car in front of me. I noticed the brakes grabbing and pulsating after that didn't know if I was going O stop without hitting someone in another car or something also the ABS fault light came on and off. I took my vehicle to the dealer on 10/15/2012 and the service advisor told me the right front speed sensor was bad and had to replace the right hub bearing & right front wheel speed sensor because the engineers at Chevrolet designed it wrong and that they made a kit to repair the problem it cost $930 dollars in 2012. Now the left front brake is doing the same thing. Obviously there is a problem I have noticed other complains listed in the vehicle safety complaints just like mine I feel there should be a recall issued for this problem. Please investigate thank you

I got a recall notice for my truck, the brake lights won't work in the taillight system. The brake light above the back window works. When I called about this I was told the recall was over my vehicle was not one of the recalled vehicles, all my other lights work it is only my brake lights that don't work. I feel like this is part of the recall. What should I do. They say Arkansas is not part of the recall.
