The contact owns a 2016 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated while driving 75 mph, the vehicle decelerated independently with the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, regeneration in progress message was displayed on the instrument panel. The contact drove 20 mph to his destination. The vehicle was taken to ron westphal Chevrolet (1425 ogden ave, Aurora, il 60503; (630) 598-1029), where it was diagnosed with needing the diesel plug filter to be cleaned. The vehicle had been repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer where the diesel plug filter was cleaned for a second time and restarted the software of the general computer system. The manufacturer had been informed of failure. The failure mileage was 13,565.
