- the contact called regarding the 2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The contact heard a noise in the rear of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to a repair shop. The mechanic diagnosed that the rear wheel bearing needed to be replaced. The contact has the faulty part. The failure mileage 11,000. The contact has the repair invoice. Updated 05/04/07. The consumer provided additional information glassroots motor magazine stating the vehicle is prone to axel seal failure. Updated 06/29/07

The right rear upper control arm bracket broke off the frame because the bottom 2 (of 4 total) welds were not making contact with the frame. The wheel moves freely in and out. I'm told that mine was not the only one with the weld problem, but the first one locally that has actually broken off.
