News flash - it's cold in Winnipeg in the winter. The remote starter should start the car and get it warm without the owner having to go outside. My car will not start in the cold if the block heater is not plugged in and if the heater is plugged in the remote won't work. If the car is not plugged in the remote will work but the interior heater/fan does not engage so the car runs for 10 minutes but the interior is still cold = pointless.
Update from Jan 4, 2018: Hood must be completely closed for remote start to work. Unfortunately this damages the extension cord.
