Equinox LT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,000 miles

Different incidence of seizing up. Not being able to turn the wheel. Turn the ignition off to reset. Sometimes this works sometimes not. I purchased this car in 2010 with 45000 miles on it, paid cash 11,000 after an inspection. From a dealership, extended warranty for first year. Just figuring on getting a new car. This would be what I call a lemon. My driving is all withing 25 miles of my home. Too afraid to have ever taken a road trip.

When my mother bought this vehicle she had a problem with the steering. She took it back to where she bought it and they couldn't find a problem. he gave it to me and the problem still remains but now it's not under warranty anymore, so if I want to take it in they're going to charge me. I don't think it's fair. I think if there's a recall on the this or a recall on anything, it should be fixed and fixed right.

Dealer told me that they could not replace the sensor without replacing the complete steering column. I've seen other posts that just the steering column sensor was replaced???? There are enough complaints about this power steering problem that GM should do something about it.
