I brought my car to the dealer over 5 times. The check engine light keeps going back on and my mileage went from 28 on the highway to 18. In town went from 18 to 20 mpg to 11 to 12 mpg. Each time I brought the car in to be fixed I was told there wasn't anything wrong. That it was normal to have bad gas mileage. I finally after nearly a year and 5 attempts to fix the car took it to a different mechanic and discovered that GM cars, especially Equinox vehicles have an issue with carbon building up in the engine. GM has to be aware of this issue and yet there isn't a recall. Now I'm told I need to have all 6 of my fuel injectors replaced at a cost of $1,600. I already have paid over $3,000 and the check engine light is still on. This is my 2nd Equinox and 5th Chevy I have owned and after this I will never buy another GM car. I have lost all faith in GM. I don't know why they can't build a car that is reliable and not a money pit.
