When I reach around 45-50 mph (sometimes, even 40 mph will do it), the car begins making an ever-increasing roaring noise. It worsens by the minute and becomes painfully deafening, drowns out the stereo, feels like my inner ears are vibrating badly and it hurts. Speeding up doesn't correct the problem, although occasionally the noise decreases a LITTLE and very briefly before coming back with a vengeance. I HATE driving this car, which is a shame because otherwise it isn't a bad car. I talked to ppl who own Chevy truck and they say 'Oh, you mean the 'Chevy shakes' ?" I say you know about this? they say yeah, Chevy is known for it. I say well, I don't see any shaking but it does seem like some sound or frequency is making things "vibrate" and produce more sound, like when a singer hits a note and rattles a glass and makes it "sing"/hum and eventually shatters the glass. Feels like my eardrums are going to shatter. The obnoxious noise is sort of like going highway speed and suddenly shifting into 2nd or 1st gear - VERY LOUD, ROAR.
