The brake light on the back right side keeps going out. Have had bulb replaced 4 times. The bulbs burn right out. Last time during oil change at mister car wash they told me to have tail light repaired as it is all melted inside and the bulb will not stay in the last time I had it replaced was during a recall for the ignition switch at Monday Chevrolet before this. This seems to me to be a factory default" not sure if anyone else has had this happen. This car is garage kept and only had 30 thousand miles on it when I bought it and now only about 65000 on it now.. I do not drive it much.have only put about 35 thousand on it in over 6 years I have owned... have others had this problem with the tail light. I have not had it fixed yet I do have new bulbs but they go out in a day or less so no need to replace until I get a new tail light holder thing? you tell me... what caused this" I have never had one problem with this car except the tail light. Great little car for sure! I had taken the extended warranty but it has expired and I never used it... car is in great shape other than the tail light......oh and right blinker sticks has always stuck blinking and I have to turn it off my self.

I was going 25 mph when I crashed causing over 5,000 dollars worth of auto and property damage in addition to the medical bills which I have not received in full yet. The car malfunctioned while I was driving and I was not able to control it. I received the recall information in the mail, but the car had not been repaired. Also, the airbags did not deploy when the crash happened. I suffered a concussion due to the accident. I was the only person injured.

I asked for a warranty repair on my airbag. The dealer got the part and sent it back on 7-13-12. They never called, emailed or wrote me a letter. I was never contacted.. recently. GM recalled my keys, I asked about my airbags. For the first time, on 9-12-14, [xxx] was the only service employee who told me the part is not at the dealer and it was sent back 2 years ago and if I wanted it I would have to pay almost $400 for it. I had detrimentally relied on the representations of at least 13 different contacts with service people, over this period of time, with this service department to honor the repair. [xxx] copied the service work order sheet and gave me a copy of it. There was no mention or notation of a phone call ever been made, on it. [xxx] and [xxx], service managers at james martin Chevrolet 6250 woodward ave. Detroit, Michigan 48202, refuse to honor the airbag repair although they are repairing other model airbags daily on a open safety recall from the nstb. General Motors representative [xxx] at 1-866-790-5600 extension [xxx] refuses to honor the repair although he has open recalls on other models for the same issue. Since General Motors has a history of exploding airbags causing crashes and several open recalls on several models, I am certain that this one (2010 HHR) should be added to the list for safety concerns. Also, the running lights have a safety issue too, on almost all models the daytime running lamps and regular lights have the right headlight out. This is not a coincidence, it is a known design defect and all GM products from 2010 forward and should be recalled as the lights cause a safety hazard. In summation, I want the 2010 HHR recalled for their right headlights and their airbags. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

On approximately March 26 2012 at night on a trip from phoenix AZ to reno nv my vehicle low beam headlamps went out, I drove from kingman AZ to indian springs nv with just my highbeams after stopping in indian springs and trying every knob and switch in the vehicle the front low beams came on. Then in the month of April the low beams went out all together and after being in the shop for 2 days it was diagnosed with a relay problem and repair was made and I had low beams again, but now the horn doesn't function and after being pulled over by the police I was advised that my taillights are out. Both problems possibly related to a fuse or relay problem but I haven't had it in the shop yet. Now when I purchased the veh in September of 2011 I noticed that the vehicle would shutter to a stop when applying the brakes, sometimes violently. Had a brake job done in March and was advised that the front rotors were warped. Had them repaired and everything was fine until approximately June 1st when the shuttering/vibrating started up again and the sometimes violently at that. I am really concerned when I apply the brakes that something may break lose when I apply the brakes. I've read on the internet many complaints from Chevrolet HHR (different year models) owners of the same complaints and that after having the brakes worked on that the vibrating/shuttering comes back within 3 months. Thank you. [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The key will not turn to the off position, can not turn off vehicle, have to disconnect fuel pump power and then disconnect the vehicle battery. Mfg knows of this problem and will not do anything with out charging large amount of money. I have been a mechanic for many years and have not seen this problem ever. I want to see a recall to correct this very dangerous condition.
