I have a 1995 Chevy lumina van and the steel frame under the drivers seat keeps breaking. I welded the first seat 3 times until it was so bad I had top buy another one. The second seat I got was the same and I am about to weld it a second time also. I know of another person with a 1992 lumina van who had the same problem. I can't believe it hasn't been recalled yet. Thanks.
Driver's side seat broke loose while driving. Seat felt like a rocking chair. Consumer states its very dangerous to drive this way. Seat assembly was replaced by owners's mechanic.
Driver's seat track is broken. Seat is very loose and wobbles alot when driving. Dealer stated that weld points are broken. Vehicle is no longer under warranty to cover cost.

4 way manual seat track bracket made of white metal broke, and driver's side seat rocks back and forth. Consumer has called salvage yards. None are available. Found 1, and it was broken in same spot. 2 welding shops can't do anything because seat is out of alignment. Consumer also states head rests have a bar that is coming out of it.
Consumer states driver seat leans back, vehicle was inspected and technician advised consumer that seat had a broken riser and found frame to be broken also, frame and riser was ordered and replaced and reinstalled back into vehicle.
Manually operated driver's seat mechanism broke twice. The broken part resulted in detaching of the seat from the frame on the right front corner, and caused the seat to rock back ward. The broken parts were welded twice.
My windshield wipers keep shorting out. Some times they work and sometimes they don't. the bracket to hold the front seat broke and had to be replaced. The handles on the passenger door broke and needed to be replaced and now the sliding door is doing the same. The brake light keeps coming on and the antilock brakes make a grinding noise when applied.
Both front seat head rest padding is loose and does not properly restrain occupants heads. Also the back rest of both passenger's and driver's side moves forward when vehicle is in motion.
Vehicle was involved in a four car collision, the front driver's and passenger's seats fell back when vehicle was struck from behind. Driver could not see in front of him when vehicle was hit in the front. Also, no deployment of driver's side airbag.
