The contact owns a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph, the brakes lines fractured. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who diagnosed that the metal brakes lines were rusted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The failure and current mileage was 124,000. Updated 08-09-12 the consumer would like to have his complaint removed. He stated will be working directly with GM regarding the issue. Updated 08/09/12.
