My car didn't start and the security light was on so I looked in the manual and it said about the chip in the key well come to find out the ignition cylinder had locked up or something. That means you would either have to buy the cylinder and take it to a shop for them to re code your car and key. Or buy a steering column and still have to take it to a shop to re code. Well my uncle has the same car, year and everything same thing happened to his so he rigged it and I've been driving it ever since like that.
