The heat only works when it decides to. It doesn't matter if the engine is warm or not. Checked radiator levels, and everything checks out. No resolution yet.
The problem with the A/C not working until it gets good and ready to turn on is a severe sore spot. It took the vehicle to the mechanic in hopes of just replacing the a/c button which I was told was broke. Well, low and behold the button is broke but I have to replace the entire temperature panel at a cost of $300 ...which is CRAZY! I have seen this problem reported on several occasions and GM should do something about this.
I know they won't.
