Our 2008 Malibu brakes lock up after you drive it. I was at lunch one day and started to leave and the car would not move. The ESC and traction control lights said need service. After the car sat for 4 hours I started it and was able to drive home.
The next day I pulled the car out of the garage to do some work in the garage and it sat out for about 8 hours. When I tried to put it back in the garage, the brakes were locked again. It would not go forward or in reverse. I have received two recalls but the dealer says neither of these will fix this problem. I have an appointment to take it in, but it has to happen again in order for them to determine what is going on.
I have searched the net and see several people are having this problem as well. This car only has about 24,500 miles on it. I am afraid to drive it any where because I never know when it is going to happen again. Will let you know what dealer says. Maybe another recall coming?
