My Malibu Hybrid stalls unexpectedly, and not reproduceably, making it difficult to diagnose and fix. The first time it happened, about 6 months ago, my mechanic sent me to the dealer. Dealer said the engine light code could be one of 4 things. Not knowing what to fix, it went unfixed. Now it is happening again, but with no engine light going on. I do not let it go under 1/4 tank, as it feels as if the chugging was caused by bad gas. However, this time, I had a full tank, and was turning left when it stalled. I was able to pull to the side of the road, with difficulty steering. Now, it makes a strange whirring sound as I try to start the car, if I can.
