Because of the previous problems with shifting into park, I am super vigilant about making sure the car turns off. I drove it into the garage on the above date, making sure the "shift to park" message didn't come on and that the car was really off. It gave no warning that it wasn't when I got out of the car. When I went to drive it the next day, the car was already turned on (as evidenced by the green light being on the the car "dead.") Couldn't make anything on the vehicle work. Called AAA for help. They took over three hours to arrive. The AAA driver towed the car to the shop that previously performed the "fixes" which obviously haven't been. Don't know what they will do to help. I am without a vehicle and had to miss a live performance in Las Vegas I had already paid for and really wanted to see, yesterday.
