The car would surge at low rpms (1,500 - 3000 rpm) . The tachometer would go up like it was accelerating quickly, but there was no power to the wheels. It would also kind of studder when accelerating, but only when the engine was warm. A mechanic friend suggested I try changing my mass airflow sensor but that didn't help at all. Another buddy said it most likely is the intake manifold gasket... which is quite expensive to fix (~$700) because of labor. For now I'm just dealing with it even though it might not accelerate when I need to make a quick turn!
