I took the car to the dealer at 19000 miles due to shimmy in car. The replaced all rotors and calipers on the car. I again had the issue at 36100 miles the dealer would not replace and I called the GM customer service number. The said it is due to driver error and a maintenance item. I now have 53,000 miles on the car and need to replace everything again. Shouldn't rotors and calipers last more than 20,000 miles"?" I have had numerous people approach me in parking lots complaining of the same issue.
Rear brakes wobble, causing a bad vibration that can be felt through the seat when driving. At around 11,000 miles I took the car back to the dealer. The rotors were turned on all 4 wheels. This helped, but after about 2000 miles the wobble and vibration returned. I feel there is a problem with the anti-lock brakes causing the vibration, because when I mash on the brakes hard the vibration is much less, sometimes no vibration at all. The car does not want to stop well unless pressing hard on the brake pedal, especially when wet. I am sending you this message because I feel there is a problem with the anti-lock braking system and I am tired of being treated like I am a liar and I am stupid. I have driven several hundreds of thousands of miles and I know how brakes are supposed to work. The brakes on this car do not perform properly. My driving habits allow me to get 70,000 plus miles on a set of brakes. I currently have a 1999 Dodge Ram with over 70,000 miles, that will not need brakes for another 30,000 miles probably. I need your assistance in this matter. Thank you.
Left front brakes shake violently and make loud grinding noise mostly on snow, ice, and wet pavement, the frame is cracked and consumer feels this was because of the faulty brakes.
