I purchased a new Chevrolet Monte Carlo ss in July 2006. Since May 26, 2009, I have had issues and concerns with the ABS/traction control on my car. It had been in the shop numerous times for repairs and was finally fixed as of June 24, 2010. The car's ABS would constantly engage when braking and the traction control would constantly engage when trying to accelerate (even on dry pavement). The car's traction control would also engage sometimes when just driving at higher speeds on highways or interstate. Prior to them fixing the car, I had a near-miss driving East on interstate 80 in des moines, Iowa between exits 131 and 135. The traction control engaged at a speed of 65 mph jolting the car into the left lane uncontrollably. After the traction control turned off, I was able to regain control of the vehicle and safely pull over at the next exit. It was dropped off at the dealership where the vehicle was purchased that weekend, and they started working on it on May 11, 2010. Previously, they had replaced one of the hubs on the vehicle (9/17/09), but this time changed the ends, wheel sensors, and rewired the vehicle's tires. This was one re-occurring issue the car has had.
