This spring I drove out to one of my favorite nature trails to take a walk. It was an odd spring day because the outside temperature soared into the 90s. By the time I was done with my walk I was very hot and was thinking how nice it would be to get into the car and crank up the A/C.
Of course that is the time it decides it's done working. I turned it on and all that was blowing out of it was hot air! I had to roll down all the windows while on the highway and it was still hot. A while later I took it to a mechanic to get it recharged. They came out and told me that it had plenty of refrigerant in it but no power was getting to it. So I paid them to diagnose the problem which they said was a relay under the hood and they wanted over $200 in addition to the $86 I'd paid them to diagnose it.
I bought a new relay and replaced it myself for much less than that but the problem didn't get solved. Then the weather got cooler and I haven't done anything about it except start looking for another car (it has other problems too, this is just one of many and it only has 63k miles on it, such a shame!)
