I bought a black 2010 Chevrolet Silverado in late December 2014. Just three months later, my truck has experienced severe and rapid paint peeling and cracking that has consumed nearly the entire roof of my truck. I also discovered about a week ago that the clear coat is fading in areas not affected by the peeling.
This truck is original paint and has been extreme well maintained as there is no issue anywhere else on the body/undercarriage. I've talked to auto body professionals and mechanics and all have said that it is due to growing factory paint defect that is due for recall. I bought this truck at sticker price with no issues and for a truck barely over 4 years old, this is unacceptable and is in demand for a recall!
