- 2014 Silverado Extremely Stiff Brake Pedal/no Brakes At Low Speeds - At low speeds the brake pedal becomes very hard which makes it impossible to apply the brakes. Dealer is stating that they need to replace the vaccume pump, vaccume line from the pump to the booster, and the master cylinder. My 2014 silverado crew cab has 53,122 miles on it.

Brake pedal got really hard to press in drive thru. I had this happen before but didn't think much of it as it was a one time deal. Truck did it repeatedly today. Thought my brake booster might be bad. Turns out after researching the problem, I find out the vacuum pump is faulty and gm knows about it but I guess they feel brakes are not all that important. They need to recall this and fix their issue. If it wasn't a faulty part then why would they have discontinued the old part number and replaced it with an updated version? I think that's proof enough this needs a recall. I'm a chevy guy all the way but they are really dropping the ball on this one. I sure hope it doesn't take someone getting hurt or killed before they act.
