CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 has an early trend of the transmission shifting hard, surging & jerking.
At the moment these trucks are still under warranty. However this transmission problem shows up right away with the average reported mileage only around 3,000 miles, so for now the 2017 Silverado earns our "Beware of the Clunker" badge.

Brand new vehicle. Didn't test drive it at night. Took it off the lot and I live in rural America. No street lights and the lights suck. I had to slow down so as to not over run my lights. I have to use my brights all the time now! Frustrated. Brand new truck!!!!!! Taking it back to the dealer. Not sure what the remediation is but spending that kind of money and not having safe lighting is infuriating. The salesperson had said that the 2016 Silverado had poor headlights but the 2017 had remediated the problem. If this a fix then the 2016 must have been terrible! Any ideas about how to deal with the dealership would be helpful My first new car ever at age 60. Loved my 2008 Sierra but wanted a new updated version.
