While driving west using Adaptive Cruise Control, it applied the brakes as if due to a vehicle in front of me. At the time I was driving west and there were no vehicles in front of me and the only vehicles near me was a car in the right lane beside me and a semi behind me. If I had not been able to hit the accelerator I would have been rear ended by the semi. This was reported to the dealer but they were unable to duplicate the issue.
