Windshield wipers intermingling to the point I have to put the fuse out of the fuse box to get them to shut off even when the vehicle is shut off while interminting no high beams will work unless you hold the wiper/turn signal lever forward. So to use windshield wiper I have to put the fuse in tduse box then put it out when I'm at my destination. While the wipers are interminting the trailer break service indacter ding and keep popping up on the service screen saying either service or it just pop up trailer break indacter as if I put the trailer bottom to add more break no trailer is attached when this is happening driving down the road it just keep ding or poping up on the screen

The hmi in the truck will show the radio info or back-up camera picture, etc. But, at different random times, even though there is a visual of radio or back-up picture, there is no sound.for radio, blinkers, seat belt, if your are going to hit something behind you, etc. This all happens randomly. Whether parked, driving on highway, streets or turning. The other problem which may not be related to above, is that even though all four doors lock when you use the key fob, manually lock them or start driving the truck, one of the rear doors will open like it was never locked.

I bought this truck 14 months ago and was talked into a gps system. The documentation stated it was the latest and greatest and up to date. It was bothersome that the system could not know about my 7 year old subdivision and large intersection such as the new I 65 interchange on the South side of indy. Then I pulled a trailer to Texas and was almost killed in a head on because the gps system in my new truck thinks all frontage roads in tx are 2 way when most are one way in the same direction as the travel lanes for the interstate. It was about 10 pm and raining. I was directed to exit the freeway and cross under and turn right and go 1 mile to my destination. I made the turn and was up to about 50 mph when an 18 wheeler came down the exit ramp headed straight for me. We both had to make some wild maneuvers to avoid the collision. I ended up having to replace the truck bed from damage on th side from a semi jackknife. I contacted Chevy and spent many calls with their entertainment dept to try and fix this issue. Chevy refuses to fix this issue and wants me to buy an update. I won't do that as it would erase the original software and I would not be able to prove what happened. If you have any wrong way head ons in tx in a GM product is was most likely the gps that caused the wreck. I'm frustrated that there seems to be no interest in this problem. Luckily the gps in my phone works fine and I can get to my destinations safely for almost free instead of the $850 Chevy system that has tried to kill me twice before I stopped using it. I have talked to several Chevy mechanics and they have also seen the problem in both customer cars and when they have rented a GM product. Date is a guess as it has been awhile, note: I deliver rv's and keep logbooks and can get the exact date if needed. Hd long bed crew cab 4X4 singlehttps://www-ODI.NHTSA.dot.gov/vehic tire

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced a loss of power steering and a loss of power while driving at low speeds. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the steering position sensors and the gear box were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failures recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000. The VIN was not provided.

The head lights on a dark rainy night are so poor it is a hazard to drive, if you meet another automobile just hold on and hope you do not hit each other, as you can't tell you are going to. I have had it back for repair but they tell me there is no fix for a Chevy, if I had a GMC there is a fix. My radio will not work when its really cold out. My transmission shifts harshly and engine flutters between gears. When I slow down coming into town I feel a hard down shift, also if going slow and climbing a hill that is when it feels as if the engine has a small skip but it is the transmission not shifting into a lower gear. There is also no fix for poor shifting.

I bought this truck brand new. I started having problems about 2000 mi. The truck has a miss and jerks under load. It has been to the dealer twice and they tell me the computer doesn't show any trouble codes so there is nothing they can do. Also on occasion the ignition key is hot to the touch. Now I have to take it in again because the brake petal might fall off. What a great product...GM I think builds a lot of these problems in to save money without a care for the customer. Now I have to drive a $46,000 piece of crap thats broken. Our hands are tied and at the mercy of big business. Hope you can help. Steve

While towing, break warning light came on. Had no trailer breaks and had to stop pull off road. Shut down as per manuel and restart. That corrected the problem. This could have been a serious issue if we had been on a steep downhill grade!

Factory trailer brake connector plug is loose and causes trailer brakes to become inoperative when the trailer male plug jiggles inside the truck female plug. I belong to several rv related sites on the internet, and this issue is coming up more often with people thinking it is just their plug or connector. Mine fit fine in my 2004 Tahoe, but is very loose on the new truck. Others are saying theirs also fit other brands of previous owned trucks or earlier Chevy year models. This is a huge safety issue, as going down a mountain or through an intersection with no trailer brakes is going to get people hurt and killed. The plug was not manufactured with the proper tolerance for a good snug fit. The little safety door with the tab on it helps to hold it in place, but the fit is still so loose that the connection is lost to lights and brakes. It is loose when you slide it in, but the bumpiness and the movement of the vehicles makes it lose the connection. I brought this up to the dealer that I purchased the truck from, but it seemed to be a non issue with them. I think it needs to be addressed with GM and quickly. We all know of their record on faulty switches etc. These plugs need to be replaced with proper fitting ones. Thank you

Ignition switch and key came out of steering column while driving. When I pulled off road and parked, the ignition switch internals and key came off in my hand. Not able to shut engine off. Called onstar, they could not shut off engine. Truck was flatbedded to dealer while still running. Risk of steering wheel locking causing loss of control. Steering wheel makes clattering noise not connected to wheels at times. Instruments dimming and flashing when turning wheel at times

The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. While driving approximately 55 mph, the radio and all the warning indicators on the instrument panel failed to work. The next day, the radio was not working and the vehicle would not start. After a while, the vehicle was driven to a dealer, but they could not duplicate the failure. The dealer kept the vehicle for evaluation. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

On Monday October 5, 2015, I was driving truck at approximately 60 mph on highway when suddenly all electronics went black and complete loss of power on highway. Luckily, I was able to pull of to side of road. I turned the key to off position (engine was not running) and waited several minutes then turned truck on and it started. The traction light kept coming on and off but the truck did not loose power again-thankfully. I could have been killed or caused a serious accident.

Use this truck for commercial purposes to haul trailers. Truck has turned off while driving 4 times. Three while driving with trailer when it hits rough road or under construction road and takes hard jolt to front end. First you are driving, then you hit bump or dip in road and you notice you have no steering, when you look down you notice whole display is shut down ( like it was never on) with no warning lights displayed. You have to put truck into neutral while driving and restart. Last time it happened had 30 foot trailer on truck and were in a downhill position with a turn and no steering capability ( no antilock or trailer brakes because they need electricity to operate)and 300 ft from going off embankment and then dropping 100ft into a gully. The trucks whole electrical system turns off shutting down everything in the truck. Own 7 trucks and have owned 20 plus trucks over the years. I have had design flaw issues and just fluke issues that just happen to that one truck. This really seems more like a design flaw, either in ignition with their new keys ( have a 2012, this ignition is defiantly different) or the electrical system, or maybe they added some sensor that shuts truck off if in a front end impact. If I am right this will kill someone, the truck gives you no warning before turning off and most people are unaware they can shift a car into neutral and restart while driving and since it has happened while pulling trailers this is very dangerous not just for the driver and passages of the vehicle but every other car or truck on the roadway with it. Example of this, the last time when we could not steer and could not go with the turn of the road, there was a car in the second lane and the trailer went into that lane, the car had to make evasive manuviers to avoid impact with trailer.

A warning message comes on the dash telling the driver there is a issue with the trailer brakes, or wiring system. The trailer brakes become inoperable when this comes on. We have contacted GM with the issue, both at the dealer level and at the corporate level; and they insist it is a problem with our trailers. The same trailers are used with older Chevrolet trucks without incident. We have also been informed by GM that the 2015 Silverado 2500's are equipped with a more sensitive trailering system. When the connection becomes wet during inclement weather, or the truck hits a bump; and the connector loses contact momentarily the message will illuminate. Resulting in the loss of trailer brakes. This is a serious safety issue.
