2012 Chevrolet Sonic
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Chevrolet dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is fairly new & is already showing an early trend of transmission problems.
Owners report hesitation when shifting & grinding/hard shifting into gears. Some dealers are calling the condition "normal". Another owner reported his dealership replaced the transmission under warranty, but the new transmission had the same exact grinding problem. Design defect?

I have a copy car fax history indicated this vehicle had its transmission replaced within two weeks of first owner purchase. First owner kept vehicle 10 months before selling it. My dealer purchased this vehicle then added new tires and only inspected car before selling it to me. Same day test driving I noticed one issue of electrical mirror control not working properly. Driving home under rain I could not control the fog on the windows using the defroster and AC unit or by opening the window a crack. The outside temperature display finally showed on the radio display area reading as 22 degree F. I complained to the sales person and took car back to dealer.
The windows continue to have fog problem with heavy dew. Salesman put car into car wash and noted outside temp read -40 degree F and the AC compressor was blowing hot air. Day of appointment to return to dealer for repair heavy rain falling I had to manually wipe the fog off the windows and barely able to see edge of road with defroster running full blast. VERY UNSAFE CONDITIONS.
I am glad dealer is working with me but wonder if manufacturer sold 'lemon car' to first owner as I am second owner.
