The shift lever position indicator located in the instrument panel cluster does not illuminate at various times. This has happened on and off for a while and I decided to research the issue. I found a similar recall for this model year vehicle on your website, but GM refuses to cover the defect on my VIN. I recently almost hit someone being in the wrong gear. This matches a previous recall id of 05V055000.
