On several occasions the following warnings will pop up. Service Stabilitrack, Tighen Gas cap, Service trailer brake system, Automatic collision prep unvailable, and the check engine light will come on. Then the dashboard lights will flicker on/off, the montior will turn black, the doors will unlock and lock. It has happened when I am going 70 MPH down the freeway. And on several occassions the car engine will turn off/stall as i am either pulling into an intersection, parking spot or coming to a stop. I will take it to the shop and have the check engine code scanned/turned off and it will be fine for a week and then start again
Trailer brake system chime goes off constantly. Chevy refuses to fix the defective wire harness. It is distracting and I have no idea if my trailer brakes would properly function if i were to tow. We ranch, but have avoided using my vehicle for this reason. This has happened continuously since 2019.
I purchased a Certified pre-owned Chevy Tahoe, in 2017, for the past year to as of 2/18/2022, the Service Trailer Brake has been chiming. It isn-€™t continuous majority of the time, but I know it isn-€™t right and often alarms me when it does chime. I do not tow trailers behind my vehicle at all. I drive to work and home, take kids to school and sporting events..I would like to know if this has or when will this be recalled" Obviously something is setting it off?"
The contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the trailer hitch warning light was illuminated with an audible tone. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 73,988.
There is a trailer brake warning that comes up, sometimes 10 times in a single mile of driving on the freeway. It beeps very loud and I cannot hear anything else. It is distracting to drive and I am unable to shut it off, I can only dismiss. I am now not sure if I can tow with my Tahoe because I fear there is something wrong with the trailer brake system. It is loud enough that if something else was wrong, I may not be able to hear it happening with the warning sound going off so often. I don't know exactly what is going on but my best guess is that it is either with the wiring, as this happens when I am not towing, or there is a sensor of some sort that is faulty. In any case, I don't think it is safe to tow because of potential hazards of the trailer brakes not working, or even worse, the trailer brakes locking up and me causing an accident.

Vehicle has shut down twice while turning. When action happens the stability controls are turned off, parking assistance is turned off. All lights on dash flash. With this vehicle having electronic steering, I have no control of this vehicle when it shuts down while driving. Dealer could not reproduce actions to diagnose, but informed me to return if it was to happen again.
Trailer brake system warning light keeps coming on, over 64 times in less then a 2 hour period, and I"m not even towing or using the trailer brake. It's very annoying, loud and can cause a crash as you immediately look down to see why the beeps are coming for
I purchased a certified pre- owned 2015 Chevy Tahoe LTZ on November 2, 2021, after one day of driving the Trailer brake system chime came on without any towing. the trailer brakes stopped functioning. the warning message would not stop chiming this was distracting me from driving. this is potential danger situation to me and to other drivers on the road.
2015 Chevrolet Tahoe: The battery indicator goes below the midpoint, then there are different alerts on the dashboard, i.e. stabilitrak, brake assist, battery/power saver, park assist, etc. The a/c all of sudden blows hard with a display blink off, the steering wheel also gets hard to steer and then the vehicle cuts off on its own. The vehicle cutting off has happened mostly when we're trying to park and turning at slow speeds; however, it did happen once while we were stopped at a light and trying to turn into the turning lane and it shut off. The risk is a car accident causing bodily harm and/or property damage. I see recalls for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe for this same issue, but unfortunately for whatever reason, my particular VIN was not included.
I received a combination of three error messages on the same day and they show every time I start the vehicle. -€œStabilitrak-€ service needed, -€œsteering assist is reduced, drive with care-€ action required message, and -€œrear parking assist symbols unavailable-€ error message when in reverse. Causes hard/lurch changes in gears. Affects the control of the vehicle and the ability to drive in a straight line.
The battery power saver light came on then as backing out of driveway I lost power and steering control Service brake assist light flashed as well as service stabilitrack and steering assist Returned home bc I had five kids in vehicle and couldn-€™t risk it. Consumer thought vehicle was repaired but occurred again.
I purchased a used 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe with about 140000 miles. After driving the vehicle for about a month I began to experience problems with the radio. It had an issue playing clearly. Then the display screen started jumping and moving through different commands on its own. Just recently, two months after owning the vehicle, it has started to cut off completely while I am driving it. The first time it occurred is when I was about to make a left turn. The second time it occurred, I was backing into my drive way. This time it cut off completely three times in a row. I think I purchased a bad car and now I'm stuck with it until I can get enough money to sell it or trade it for another vehicle.
The electrical software isn't functioning properly. The radio, onstar, the door/seat belt chimes don't work. None of the electrical works in the vehicle. I was driving and when I pressed on the brake and turning, the dome lights start to flicker making it difficult to see other cars at night. The back doors don't always lock when locking them.
Vehicle looses power while driving for a short period of time. Starts with warning dash lights activing (ABS, grade brake assist) loss of radio and then the truck cuts off, yet resets/restarts itself immediately.
An issue that I have had since the used vehicle was purchased in 2016 superior interior led lighting, however:: activate left turn signal or step on the brakes, these interior bright led cabin lights flash brightly and intermittently. Stopped at an intersection, it's embarrassing, interior led lighting continues to flash as if there was a strobe within the interior cabin, when my foot on brake and or left turn signal. Hazard / 4-way activate the interior lights also. At night distraction for myself as an operator, safety issue- reflection off the windshield during hours of darkness, annoyance to all passengers 'disco car' black electrical tape was placed over the mid-cabin interior light, youngest son hates to ride in the vehicle because of the lighting issue. Visible and obvious to other motorists during hours of darkness when stopped aside, front and/or rear of the vehicle. Dealership ' $180 to fix, also that a service bulletin exists, advised to wait for re-call - back for re-call approximately 1 year later, service rep stated, still no re-call. I was advised at that time, by the "same" service rep in the service department, at the same dealership, that they, (Chevrolet) are currently un-aware of any such issue with the interior lighting. I have been a police officer for nearly 40 years assigned to traffic division. Re-constructionist, with extensive accident reconstruction training and investigations / 15 years certified through cvsa. Previous unrelated re-call notices, Chevrolet is claiming a cause of 'potential customer annoyance', let me tell you, it's annoying. Recalls again about other unrelated issues, Chevrolet claims to be 'concerned about your safety and continued satisfaction with our products' I'm also concerned about my safety as well as my passengers.
