Technical Service Bulletin 17-NA-304 1..6 should be a recall if it involves a fuel leak. My vehicle has experienced this issue, and fuel is actively leaking (right next to the exhaust). With 2 small kids in the car everyday, and Chevy (and the NHTSA) knowing this since September, 2017, how is this not something that a consumer is notified about, and fixed by the manufacturer immediately? I would appreciate if someone could contact me to talk me through this not being a recall.

I was driving down the road at 65mph, when My transmission blew. I believe the correct term is that my torque converter went out. I basically came to a dead stop in traffic, endangering my life and my children's. My understanding is that this is a common issue with this type of transmission. Chevrolet should be ashamed of themselves for not recalling this item.

started to notice a fuel smell/odor, which after several days 3 to 4 got worse, then my tahoe started having problems starting, i then seen fuel leaking from the driver's side behind driver's door and below driver's side passenger door, which is where my granddaughter's car seat is located, i inspected where the leak appeared to be coming from, i could tell it was coming from on top of the fuel tank running down the side of the tank leaving a puddle of fuel, the repair shop said they believe the leak is coming from the fuel line and would pull the fuel tank down and replace the fuel line which is going to be a expensive repair. this is a serious safety hazard and should be covered by general motors corporation, i am concerned that my tahoe could have caught on fire while driving without no warning indicator light. i will keep invoices from repair shop and the faulty factory fuel line. i fear this problem could very well cause loss of life or a very serious accident while driving that i believe general motors is aware of.

Noticed a strong gas odor when exiting the vehicle. Upon looking the at the vehicle from top to bottom I discovered that there was gas dripping from the gas tank. Took the vehicle to the dealer, and was told that a fuel line on top of the tank was cracked and needed to be replaced. Since this seemed like a pretty serious safety issue I did some online research hoping to discover a recall, but didn't find any open ones. What I did find was a lot of people saying that this same issue had happened to them, and is a result of a design flaw where the fuel line on top of the tank is too close the the chassis and over time vibrations wear a hole into the line. Since this is such a serious safety issue I feel that that it should be taken care of by the manufacturer.

Large fuel leak coming from line that rubs body above gas tank. Gas was pouring out causing a very hazardous condition. When noticed vehicle was stationary in a parking lot. GM knows that there have been issues as there is a tsb # 17-na-304 dated September of 2017. A quick google search reveals dozens of like reports with one causing a complete loss of vehicle due to fire. This is of major concern as loss of life from this engineering failure is high. Children could be restrained in car seats in rear of vehicle just above fuel for fire.

Upon returning from work, my wife complained of a strong odor of fuel in and outside of the vehicle. After inspecting the engine, interior, and exterior of the vehicle a small running fuel leak was discovered beneath the vehicle on the driver side, immediately forward of the fuel tank. The leak left a small puddle of fuel under the vehicle, which continued to leak until fuel pressure dissipated 5-10 minutes later. Upon inspection by mechanics at my local GM dealer, it was found that a hole was worn into the fuel supply (pressure) line due to chafing and rubbing of the line against the structure (frame) of the vehicle. This problem occurred any time the vehicle was running, whether it was in motion or not. The problem occurred on 10/07/2020. The cause of this problem was due to the fuel line being insufficiently protected from chafing and vibration. The new fuel line came with a sleeve protecting the affected area. This appears to be an engineering deficiency on 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe models.

My vehicle started leaking gas while it was turned on while it was moving and stationary. A mechanic found that the fuel line developed a pin sized hole as the source of the problem. After some online research I found that this is a problem for many with my vehicle.

I had strong smell of gas one night and my first thought was maybe may gas cans but after put them outside the smell continues, so then I notice some start delay on my 2015 Tahoe and put the 2 together I knew I had some fuel leak (very dangerous situation inside my garage with all my family sleeping) I took the truck to the shop and they found the leak on gas pressure line. Replace and done $437 after 2 days.

Fuel line above gas tank wore a hole spraying a significant amount of gas around rear exhaust and brake rotors. The hole in the fuel line was due to not being properly protected from normal wear and vibration where it made contact with the gas tank assembly and vehicle frame. The hole occurred after very normal use of the vehicle at around 81,000 miles. The car has been used 99% of time on city streets and highways.

Tahoe is used to commute to owner's profession roughly 20 miles every week day. One day after driving home, Tahoe had strong fuel odor while sitting in owner's garage. It would then also have similar odor when initially starting the car. Brought the Tahoe to blasius Chevrolet in waterbury, ct. Tahoe is under 60,000 miles and still under powertrain warranty. They stated that "fuel line chewed threw buy (sic) mouse." Owner asked for a picture of the pinhole leak cause by the mouse. Image (which is attached) illustrates damage that could not possibly be caused by an animal. It is smoothly rubbed down and shows no chew marks and is in one specific spot. Dealer refused to use warranty to cover the repair, even though its not normal wear and tear, could not have been caused by an animal and not related to anything done to the car by owner. Only work that has been completed on the Tahoe has been by the dealership. This seems to be a recurring issue with 2015 Tahoe around the 60K miles mark. The fuel line is worn down by rubbing against something near the fuel tank. This is a manufacturing defect and expensive repair that should not be covered by the consumer considering a fuel line is not a part that should "get worn down" over time. Fuel leaking on the engine could have been catastrophic if it was not caught in time.

High pressure fuel line was leaking due to rubbing on he chassis. When I mentioned it was a design flaw as alot of people complained the service manager said it was because something was chewing on the plastic but as you see in the pics. That is not the case and even the service man said it was not chewed on.

I had a system failure light that came on my 2015 Tahoe. When I brought it to voss Chevrolet dealership in centerville Ohio, they told me that my high pressure fuel pump was failing and that I would need to replace it along with the fuel lines. Upon further research I learned that GM had issued a recall bulletin (tsb 14858) in 2015 for select 2015 Tahoe. The Tahoe's affected included vehicles with an 8 cylinder engine (RPO L83 or L86). This describes my vehicle but the dealership said GM did not include my VIN in the recall, so they could not fix it under the tsb recall. I called GM directly and they also said my vehicle VIN was not part of the recall. They were not very clear as to which vins they decided to include when all of the Tahoe's were made on the same production line. This is a safety issue and clearly all of the vins should be included in the recall of the high pressure fuel pump and the hoses. GM called the dealership and paid a portion of the expenses, but I still had to pay more than $300 out of pocket for an issue that is known to GM.

Vehicle did not want to start when cold. Would take 2-3 times to get engine to turn over. After driving, the smell of gasoline was undeniable. Brought vehicle in to local mechanic and he discovered the fuel hose had chaffed and fuel was spraying out and puddling on top of fuel tank. He dropped fuel tank and replaced fuel line. Fuel line that was removed had no protection on it. Replacement part had a corrugated loom protecting fuel line. I am still in possession of damaged fuel line in question.

After reading the large number of similar problems with the 2015 Tahoe and after speaking with individuals in this area in business with GM, I feel even more unsafe than I have before. I was told that although numerous problems and multiple lawsuits with the 2015 Tahoe's, that there has been no total recall with my specific VIN number. Shocking. I did see several recalls of great concern that I had not been made aware of. It's a hardship to have my vehicle in the shop more than it is in my garage. It's a hardship to pay to rent a working, safe vehicle because the one I pay $615 monthly for is unsafe, unreliable and a liability. In conclusion, are there steps an individual is able to take to resolve situations such as this" or is this something that one would need to seek assistance of legal aide to get the ball rolling"
