CarComplaints.com Notes: The Trailblazer emerged from an "upscale trim line" of the Blazer, but there's nothing upscale about its transmission problems or its wonky, unpredictable headlights.

The check engine and Reduced Engine light come on and the engine slows down not going over 30 mph. Had new pedal installed but did not fix problem. Engine also idles rough until it's driven for a while then will also act like it's going to die while at a red light. I put the car in neutral while at the red light and it stops. Have seen several suggestions on the problem. This is sometimes a safety concern while traveling daily on the interstate. The lights go away when the engine is turned off then on and works for a few days then starts over. Would love any suggestions or fixes. Local dealer charges 80.00 an hour to try to diagnose the problem and mentioned it could be numerous things.
