CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.

This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.

Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

The roads where slightly wet and I hit a guardrail on a mountain road going approx 30mph - 35mph. Destroying the front passenger bumper, turn signal light, tire, axle, suspension, pretty much everything on the passenger side and the guardrail of course. The air bags never deployed! police report was taken, no fault or major injuries, the truck could not be driven and again the air bags did not deploy! just makes me think (if I had went through the guardrail and down the mountain into a tree) would the air bags ever work and save my life? please recall this issue!!

I have after market seats in my 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, I've seen a recall on your site so I called GM and they ran my VIN to check if it involves my vehicle, however they state it doesn't involve mine. I have stated that my service air bag light keeps coming on "blinking" and I do have the leather seats. This is the website with the cloth seats.... www.motortrend.com/cars/2005/Chevrolet/Trailblazer/photos/interior/cockpit.html and here is the recall from your site www-ODI.NHTSA.dot.gov/owners/searchresults.action?searchtype=prod&prodtype=V&targetcategory=a&activetab=0&searchcriteria.model_yr=2005&searchcriteria.make=Chevrolet&searchcriteria.model=Trailblazer&searchcriteria.prod_ids=204821 report receipt date: Oct 31, 2006 NHTSA campaign number: 06V417000.

Crashed straight into the back end of a vehicle doing 60 while I was doing atleast 80, or 85, maybe more, I don't remember. The first thing I remember seeing is realizing I'm alright despite the blood in the cockpit and on my face despite sneezing which was spreading blood. Is this a vehicle defect or what? my math says that crashing at 85mph into a vehicle doing 60 is like crashing into a brick wall at 25mph. I've had a local mechanic check it out and he says according to his obd-II computer everything is working fine (or was atleast) :) anyways, please feel free to contact me again with any more question you may have. , I was approaching a line of cars stopped for a red light. The weather was clear and I was decelerating and moving at approximately 20 mph. As I began to apply the brakes, they failed catastrophically. The brake pedal hit the floor, with no resistance, and I ran into the back of a stopped pickup truck?.watching it all unfold before my eyes while my foot frantically pumped the brake pedal, which hit the floor with each attempt. Although it was a front end collision, the airbags did not deploy.

My 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer is possibly involved with recall # 06V417000. I have called GM, the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from, and the toll free # listed on the recall form and cannot get any information regarding this matter. I did not receive a recall letter from GM. When I became aware of this recall, I called GM and they had no record of my vehicle having leather installed by the dealership and referred me to the dealership. Aftermarket leather seats were installed in my vehicle at the time of purchase at the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. After reading the recall notice, I am very concerned that the airbags in my vehicle will not function properly if I am in an accident. I am concerned about the safety of my vehicle and would like to have someone help me with this issue.
