CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2002-2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer is known for many things, but perhaps it is most famous for its faulty fuel gauge.

This gauge flip-flops more than a politician during election season. Some report that the gauge says "empty" after a fill-up, while others report the gauge says "full" when they're running on fumes. Either way, there's one thing everyone seems to agree on: the darn thing is just wrong.

Following hundreds of complaints and a few accidents allegedly caused by the malfunction, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) opened an investigation into the issue in May 2011. Unfortunately for frustrated owners, no recall has been announced.

power doors and windows malfunctioning

Had a recall on driver door lock and window switches approximately 2 years ago. We started having random problems with the lock and windows. Sometimes it works right and other times you get locked in the vehicle and cannot get out unless someone comes with the key to let you out. This happens more on rainy days, it works find on sunny days.

Last March my wife's 2007 Chevy Trailblazer LS 6Cyl had its air bags go off on drivers side. Followed by the no power to driver's side windows and locks. Dealer wanted beaucoup money to fix. The window motor will work just fine if you connect 12v directly to it. Local garage order a new module, but that wouldn't work. Vehicle is real nightmare. Mechanic said we might have to go to the dealer and spend $90-$100 to get it reprogrammed. Why should we have to pay for a reprogramming?

I received a recall notice for this very thing and called the dealer and they said I had to wait for the 2nd notice to get the replacement under the recall and get reimbursed for the one I had to pay for that is failing again. Never got 2nd recall and I am truly frustrated with my windows that will not go back up and this is very frustrating in the winter months. The windows will go down but not always go back up and the door locks do not always lock.

My keyless remote has stopped working off and on and when this happens most of the time the whole driver door panel stops working and then all of a sudden it starts working again. Have no clue what is going on and nothing in owner manual address this.

I parked my car for a quick minute to run up to the door at a friends to pick up my daughter. I left the vehicle running with the air conditioning on because it is 95 degress and humid...my small dog was also in the vehicle. I came back within 2 minutes and went to open the door and all of the doors were locked. All of my personal items are in the car; cell phone, purse so this created a huge problem. Needless to say, I had to use a friends phone to call AAA for them to come to the residence to unlock my car door. Just a note that this incidence has happened 2 other times. But in these incidences, only the driver door is locked and you can get in the car by using the other doors.
