CarComplaints.com Notes: There are a fair-number of power steering related complaints which is a continuation of problems from the previous model year. Considering the problem tends to happen beyond the standard warranty (73k+) it's best to avoid this vehicle or at least be prepared for the $1,300+ repair.

Where do I even begin? First, I started getting warning lights to service the stability track and my traction control kept turning off. It seemed that fixed itself. But I definitely knew something was wrong. Next thing I know I have a low voltage light on my alternator is fried replace the alternator which is not cheap. Now the car won't turn on at all. Replace the battery car still will not start. This car has been well maintained. It does have a slow oil leak already. I do not put cheap anything in it. I use recommended parts. And still every time I turn around this damn thing is breaking down. There is no way that the PCM And the harness continuously go out. None of these are cheap replacements at all.

Car warranties don't last forever and quite frankly this whole vehicle should just be recalled. Thank God I pay attention to my gauges or I would have been caught in a situation where I wouldn't have been able to stop my vehicle because it died while I was going down the road. This vehicle has been the most frustrating vehicle I've ever owned in my entire life. I have a salvage 2008 Honda that is more reliable than my traverse. That car has been in a wreck. It's considered totaled. It still runs better than my traverse that has far less miles. My Honda has 275,000 mi on it. There are so many safety issues with this vehicle, including my airbags continuously giving me a fault code thing going away.

I've been having trouble with the car reading a message saying SERVICE BATTERY CHARGING SYSTEM. I've had the alternator replaced and I have a new battery in the car as well. I've had it at the Chevy dealership to be fixed but they can't seem to find out exactly what's causing the issue. It seems as though many owners of this model have the same issue around 130,000 miles. Chevy needs to issue a recall for the shoddy electrical system in this car. My lights flicker as well. Terrible experience with this issue. I want to get rid of the car after this.

Since purchasing this vehicle there have been recalls on the trunk opening mechanism, the seat belts, and seats. The seat also has a rocking chair feel while driving, the temperature control, and vent control system actuators failed and had to be replaced. Now the power steering is having issues, and today after starting the vehicle the traction control system, abs system, and stabilitrac is failing. The lights are on and all of the systems are turned off. It appears that this is a problem with many of thee vehicles and is causing major problems. It is Sunday and I hope to have it fixed tomorrow because I have a trip planed for the Tuesday. Done with Chevy
