The driver information center does not work during daylight hours. I have done some online research and this is a common problem for several model years on the Chevrolet Traverse. The DIC (drivers information center) notifies you of low fuel, low tire pressure, open doors or hatch and other options.

2014 CHEVY TRAVERSE LT. Randomly driving on the freeway @ 60-65mph going uphill it started losing power. It started stuttering/coughing. The TRACTION CONTROL OFF and SERVICE STABILITRAK lights flashed. I finally got it home and shut it off. The next morning it drove fine. Then it happened agai a few days later. I replaced the throttle body after it was diagnosed as the problem. On the way home it did the same thing. It wasn't the throttle body. Now they can't find out what is wrong with it. There are no codes. The service repair guys say it is overheating in the shop but not when they drive it and they don't know why. There are no codes. I told them it was random. If I am driving on the Interstate and have these problems and have to turn off the engine and sit for any amount of time is dangerous. Especially if the heat is over 100 degrees as it has been. I'm not sure if it is related to this problem, but my control panel lights go from dim to light randomly. I can't see anything on them during the day when dim. No warnings etc that may flash

The fuse block/box has been identified, as the problem by the manufacturer and reported to the dealer service centers. There have been numerous complaints filed on the 2014 Chevrolet Traverse fuse block. Service techs were instructed (years ago) to look at the fuse block when the following problems were reported by the owner. If they knew to instruct their techs to look at the fuse block/box, then they knew it was defective - it should have been recalled/replaced at that time. Since it wasn't, there have been ongoing safety risk to many vehicle owners and passengers. It has also required owners to pay hundreds of dollars to repair/replace the known defective part; I just paid $965. While driving at any speed, the car will begin shaking/jerking; dashboard messages begin: Engine Power is Reduced, Traction Control Off, Service Stabilitrak, along with the Service Engine light. In the city, before you can move over out of traffic, the engine stalls/stops. You are in the middle of the street with no engine power, no steering, and no brakes. This is very dangerous and can immediately result in an accident...to you/the driver, or cause an accident further behind, when the other drivers can't see that traffic has stopped. Even with flashers on, it may take several attempts to get the vehicle started again. The same situation occurred last year traveling down a highway at a speed of 70 mph, while we (myself and spouse) were able to pull off the road, had the car not started again - we would have had a towing bill back to the dealership service center. We were not told about the fuse block/box (known) problem at that time. I am truly shocked, very disappointed and angry to learn (on my own) that the safety of my granddaughter (from birth) has been a risk every time we traveled in my vehicle. She and I travel alone, sometimes up to 3/4 hrs. away to see family, and could have been in an accident or stranded on the side of a highway, or street, many times.

I recently purchased a 2014 Chevy traverse LT. While driving on a four lane busy road with a 65 mph speed limit my vehicle without warning said -€œtraction control off, reduced engine power-€ and within seconds I had no power stealing and I went from driving 65 mph to 10 in less then 10 seconds, the car started violently shaking as well. I had to aggressively redirect the steering wheel to get to the side of the road and turn the vehicle off & wait a few minutes & restart it. It seemed to fix the problem. Within a week it happened again, on the way home from work, and I was nearly rear ended at a 60 mph speed and I am now terrified to drive the car more then a mile up the road to my kids school, I have two small children and this has put us in an almost near death situation TWICE! I purchased this car so I would have a reliable vehicle for my kids and I and it-€™s been terrifying for my children and I to own this Chevy! The dealership I purchased the vehicle from is over two hours away, I also live in a rural area so to have it diagnosed I-€™d be having to drive at least 15 miles and I-€™m terrified to do

Stabilitrak light was on, then the alarm said traction control off, the check engine light came on. The Traverse certainly has recall problems that need to be looked into, it is a family car. I have provided a you tube link that explains and shows the problem, https://youtu.be/hBvaOIIxnXY I have the same problem on my car.

My warning lights keep coming on saying traction control off reduced engine power service stability control. Code came up as and ignition switch problem had the ignition switch changed things were fine for a few months then started having the same problem car was bought in 2017 issues been going on since then. Car was in motion. This is a problem because its completely died on me while driving many times I have tried many things to correct the problem to no avail. Doing my own research online all signs point to this being an issue Chevrolet is aware of but won't recall or fix the issue for free.

The traction control goes out randomly and I lose my power steering and all my functions of my car randomly and I have to pull over to turn it off when I'm driving to get it to go back to normal once I restart it it's fine. But it does it randomly for no reason and it's very dangerous because I can't use my steering or pedals or anything. It all stops working until I stop and turn it off then back on. I think it's the throttle body that's causing it but not sure it says online it's a common issue but doesn't say why or what to do. I need it to get fix because I am afraid it'll cause me to get in a wreck

Without warning the vehicle loses power and shuts down. The check engine light comes on. When I shut the car off and wait a minute it will start up again with no problem. When I've tried to get a program reading from a repair shop, they were unable to do so because the check engine light had reset itself and no reading was available. At other times the car wouldn't start at all... and I have recently replaced the battery.

Car stalls while driving very abruptly. Reduce engine power and service stablitrak comes on. Then traction control warning lights flash. Very very dangerous. Happen while driving car begins to shake violently. Engine light remains on. Happening too often had the same issue with my 2007 Chevy equinox. No way this should not be recalled it's definitely a known issue.

Just bought this used 2014 Chevy Traverse with 89K on it and not even to the first oil change and the traction control off/service stabilitrak came on. Code said ita the brake pedal position sensor. Replaced that and calibrated it and did not fix problem. Shop said I need to replace whole brake pedal. This repair wouldn't fix the slight hesitation the car has when excelerating. I seen many forums that this could be many things which will be real expenses to keep trying before one work. This is a horrible way to treat people who buy the car that's states error messages that cannot even narrow it down.

My transmission sleeps a lot. What these main problem is service traction control and the stabilitrak. This happens every time I drive the car I lose speed I could be on the freeway and my speed drops to almost a stop. Every time I take it into the service shop it show that nothing is wrong with it. I'm years old and I need car that's reliable I'm so disappointed with thr [xxx] parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

When driving over 70mph on the eway, the service traction control and service stabilitrak comes on. After driving like that for a few minutes the car starts jerking and reduces speed! I have taken it to a Chevy dealership and also midas and they tell me there is nothing they can see. This is very dangerous driving in the eway with my children.

My car decided recently to start acting weird and the engine power went low and traction control went off and then my car would barely run. It says it could be the throttle body. It had done it twice since Saturday and starts running ok afterwards but want to see what's wrong and why it just started doing this. Never had any trouble till then.

I recently had my 2014 Chevy Traverse in to my mechanic for maintenance, as I do when needed. After maintenance was performed, I picked my vehicle up and it drove just fine for five maybe ten miles, no issues. I was on the highway and suddenly the "service stabilitrak", "traction control off", and "service traction control" messages began flashing. Immediately after, my vehicle began jerking profusely as I was driving - it slowed the speed, and eventually quit. The messages were still there. A few more miles down the road, it began jerking again. I don't know what is going on with it but I took it back to my mechanic and he's had it since then (this was days ago) and he's having a hard time pinpointing the issue. However, I see many other Traverse owners whom are experiencing the same dangerous issue, with no resolve. My vehicle has up to this point been reliable and I thought safe, however, this issue is not safe. I have a job that I need to get back and forth from and two small children that I need to Transport safely. This issue with my Traverse is beyond dangerous. My Traverse has 85,000 miles on it. Really disappointed.

On February 14 2019, I went outside to warm up my car. 10 minutes later while the car was still parked the whole engine was engulfed in flames. Fire department was called to put out the fire. No recent work had been done to the vehicle. The only work ever done in the 4 years I owned it were, new tires, new battery (in the back seat) and oil changes.

Three months ago, the back moon roof made a loud bang and shattered while driving down the highway at approximately 50 miles per hour. There was no impact to the moon roof or other vehicles in the area. We had it replaced at a local Chevrolet dealer. This morning on my way to work, the same thing happened to the moon roof that had been replaced. I was driving at approximately 70 miles per hour with no other vehicles around me.
