It has been 9 months since I received a letter notifying me of this potentially fatal issue with my car and a repair is still not available. I am furious that it is taking so long and there need to be legal repercussions for the manufacturer taking this much time to procure a replacement. My car is not safe to drive; I do not feel safe driving my car. I am not getting what I paid for. NHTSA needs to put immense pressure on these manufacturers to hurry up and get a repair for these vehicles so people are not risking their lives driving their car everyday! What is the point of this organization if you have no legal right to demand recalls be repaired in a timely manner?!
I noticed an warning indicator on my vehicle that says SERVICE AIR BAG. I received a recall notice from GM, stating that my car has a recall that needs to be serviced. I called my local GM Service Dealer, and they informed me that this recall "does not have a remedy yet" and they are not able to fix it for me. I looked online to see what the severity is. Safety Risk Description: An in??'ator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. This is very disturbing to me and makes me uneasy to continue driving my vehicle.
