GM had informed about a safety recall on 2023-05-10 (almost an year ago) - NHTSA ID - [XXX]. I have been following up with GM as well as the Chevy Service Dealer and have been informed that a remediation is not available yet. I am not able to sell my car at the price it deserves due to the recall. Also I have not been driving my car long distances due to the Safety Risk Description: An in??'ator rupture may cause metal fragments to pass through the airbag and into the vehicle interior, which may result in injury or death to vehicle occupants. Can you please direct the manufacturer GM to remediate the issue at the earliest. I dont believe 1 year is a reasonable time to fix a safety issue which has the potential of driver death or permanent disablement. The connector module under the passenger side front seat that control the air bag is consistently triggered by bump or seat movement which sets off service airbag warning light. This therefore puts my car at risk for not properly deflating airbags on impact. This has been fixed at a local shop in 2023 and continues to be a problem for a lot of people. This should be a recall because it puts lives at risk with the airbag system malfunctioning.
They have not fixed it yet I took it months ago and they say they don't have a remedy, but on here it says to replace driver airbag. The airbag lights come on and stay on then go off so I think something is wrong. I take my kid to and from school everyday in this vehicle. Please make them fix it.

I am filing a complaint as the recall for the air bag module was first issued in May 2023. It's been10 months and there is still no remedy to fix the air bag issue. I drive with kids in my car everyday. I fear of getting into an accident and possible metal fragments come out of the airbag and into the interior of my car.
Service Airbag message came on along with airbag warning light. Problem is with connectors under the front driver seat that come apart when the seat moves forward and back. This was a recall on previous models, but not this one. It-??s the same exact issue. Also, no remedy for steering wheel airbag that could shoot deadly metal shards into your face. This is deplorable.
Airbag is part of a safety recall and has been so for over a year, no remedy available and there is risk of death. this is completely unacceptable. The company should be responsible for a replacement vehicle, cost of a rental until remedy is available, or fix the issue immediately.

In summer of 2023, I received a recall letter regarding my 2014 Chevy Traverse involving the air bag. The recall states, -??An inflator explosion may result in sharp metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants, resulting in serious injury or death.-?? Essentially a bomb could be going off in my car if my air bag were to deploy. I have awaited a resolution to this recall for what I feel is a reasonable amount of time for the manufacturer to provide a solution given that my car is essentially a ticking time bomb. I fear for the safety of myself and my family. I would like the NHTSA to look into this matter and find out why such a dangerous situation has yet to be remedied. Otherwise I may have to seek out legal council, hopefully prior to any devastating consequences.
