When the problem occurs, the car is in motion and all lights and gauges go out along with the radio. If it happens at night you lose all illumination so you drive blind. I tried to get it repaired several times and have had mechanics tell me it is repaired only to have it fail again. I did have one mechanic tell me a relay was heating up near the radio and he moved it to get it away from the heat source. Using that logic when it happened again, I turned down the heater incrementally until the issue stopped. I have not had a failure in over a month. As soon as I turn the heater up and the car is warm it will fail. The gauges and lights will come back on once the area has cooled. If it was left turned up it will fail and reset time and time again.
