The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler PT CRUISER. The contact stated that while traveling approximately 45 mph, she experienced two tire blowouts on two separate occasions. The first blowout was on the rear driver side and the second was on the rear passenger side. The dealer replaced the rear passenger side rim and determined the rim was the actual cause of the tire failure. The other 3 rims were not replaced because the dealer advised there were no defects found on the rims. The contact experienced two additional tire blowouts due to the failure. The vehicle was left with the dealer where the contact was awaiting repairs and a diagnostic of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000 and the current was unknown.
