I purchased a handicap accessible van with a lowered floor. The rear leaf springs are attached to the frame with brackets. These brackets are lower than the floor leaving about 3.25 to 3.5 inches of clearance to the road. I consider this low clearance as a potential safety hazard and it will also prevent access to a driveway where the vehicle is to be used. Are there regulations or laws governing van conversion road clearance?
