After my van was in a wreck, this started happening: Horn honks, sometimes a "hesitation" honk, sometimes full blast. Varied amount of time. While this is going on, the wipers go on the front and back and the washer fluid squirts out. A dealer replaced the wire harness, but it didn't help. I am going crazy!!! The key doesn't have to be in the ignition. I can also be driving down the road when it does this. It also locks the doors sometimes.

horn and wipers ran continuously until battery disconnected

While driving my 2008 Chrysler town and country, the horn began blowing and the front and rear wipers began moving, all without me turning either on. This continued for approx 15 minutes. During this time I stopped car and turned engine off, and the horn and wipers never shut off. Suddenly all of the above just stopped. Took the battery cable off once I got where I was going to try and see if this would help. When tried to hook cable back after approx. 30 minutes, the horn kept blaring every time cable touched the battery post. Took car to dealer who said it was the TIPM, which he said pretty much controls just about everything. The cost to me was $804.59. My extended warranty did not cover any of the cost. I checked on line to find that many people have had issues with this module, and has a class action suit against them for this in several vehicle models, but mine is not included. This appears to be a major repair being needed by many people. I believe this should be a recalled part for my vehicle.

The horn started to randomly honk when turning the steering wheel. Then it started to honk when driving straight, stopped at stop lights, parked in parking lots, won't stop even when car is off. It was really embarrassing and when I called the Chrysler dealership they said they had never heard of such a thing, I searched the Internet and found many complaints about the electrical system, I am taking it in for repair next week and have been driving without a horn since I removed the fuses last summer.
