The contact owns a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start up after multiple attempts. There were several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact had the vehicle towed to several dealers and independent mechanics where they informed him that the WIN (Wireless Ignition Node) module was defective and needed to be replaced. The dealer informed the contact that the WIN module had previously been replaced under an unknown recall; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.

As I was driving my Town and country Chrysler minivan on a busy road the engine shutoff. I almost got hit by the car behind me as I could no longer drive since the engine shut off. I put on my hazards and pulled over in order to put the van in park and restart the van. My kids were with me. We could have been severely injured if the car behind me had hit me.

Our 2010 Chrysler Town and country stalls (turns off) unexpectedly. This has happened multiple times, and does not produce any error codes in the computer. Normally this has happened at speeds less than 35 mph and early in our journeys.

The cab of our vehicle fills with dust making it a hazard for our family, we contacted the dealer and they said we needed to change the cabin air filter and to their surprise, this particular van did not come with one. It was stated by Chrysler that there was nothing they could do, we would have to "live with it". this is a major health concern and safety concern due to visibility and breathing issues. The dealer has inspected the vehicle and documented the excessive amount of dust in the vents, but Chrysler will do nothing saying it runs like it is suppose to. Due to the excessive amount of dust we have had to cover our children faces with towels to prevent breathing problems. This occurs even when the system is in recirculate.

First I just found this site. I bought this van on April 30,2011. In June I was pulling out of gas station and van shut down. I thought that is weird. Then again 3 more times from then. On August 31,2011 I was making a left turn at a light and it shut down again. This time we went onto the median taking out the front end, tires tranny, oil pan, ect. My kids were with me. Then I receive a recall notice on it. I went through my insurance cuz I didn't know I wasn't suppose to. All Chrysler did was put a rubber ring in the ing. To keep the key from shutting off. They wont do anything else to help. Im paying for a certified car. Its not right. Now there's problems with the radio, all the electrical. The key fix broke my key and had to trade it for another, oh Chrysler was willing to pay for that but wanted the old. I have nightmares of it happening on the freeway and the accident really messed up my current chronic conditions. The dealerships had to of been contacted about this recall and they still sold this van to the consumers. It should be illegal. I need a lawyer willing to help me get out from under this van. I shouldn't have to pay for a pre certified vehicle that was in accident do to Chrysler fault. We all need to take action. Don't you think?

This had happened several times since we bought this from the dealer. I would be driving and have no control over the van, I had to come to a stop and put it in park and then start it up again.very dangerous. My second complaint is a tire went flat less then a year of having the vehicle. I was told by the tire repair mechanic that there was a plug and these are 2008 tires and 2007 rims and that tube where the air goes in was brass and it should not be.he seemed to think they gave us used tire and rims on our vehicle. He said he has seen this where a dealer puts the newer rims and tires on another vechicle to sell it and us unsuspecting customers did not know they had been replaced.

Engine stalls at lower speeds while in drive or reverse mode. This is happening more than 10 times in 3 weeks. I contacted dealer & manufacturer but there is no recall history with it and they are not willing to do any service even though it's under warranty until they prove it or some kind of diagnostic in engine. I have to put the vehicle in park mode and restart the engine this may be an issue when you are in middle of the road and potential for accident to happen.

Sliding passenger door fails to work properly opens and closes at will. Has caught several children with out reopening upon contact. Continue to stall after recall as did before recall fix. Battery caused corrosion to eat away cables. Even when serviced like supposed to. Leather seats ripped within 2 mths of purchase was purchased brand new. Electrically gas mileage fluctuates all the time example 410 on fill up then 2 miles dn road it says 60 miles left etc. Yet Chrysler dealer claims all the time no dx on anything. Just shut completely down today as was turning ended up half in road thank god car behind paying attention and dump truck was coming also paid attention or else daughter and I could have been hurt severely. Never buy a Chrysler that's my response. Then had towed dealer said was relay switch they changed it brought me the vehicle then I went to drive out and it died again so I guess not.

This is a rented vehicle from advantage rent a car phx. Model is 2010 Chrysler Town and country van with AZ plate [xxx] (I did not get the VIN). I was driving on a surface street at approximately 30-35 mph when the van suddenly lost all power. The engine shut down, the instrument panel went completely dead (speedometer dropped to zero and all gauges went dark), the radio went dead, and power steering and braking were non-functional. I did not attempt to restart the vehicle while moving because the shifter positions are unmarked and the gear indicator along with the entire dash panel went dark. I was able to pull the vehicle on coasting power into a parking lot with great difficulty due to the lack of power steering and braking. Once I was safely stopped. I put the gear shift back into park, removed the electronic key fob, reinserted it and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle returned back to working order - the engine started and the all dash panel controls returned to normal operation. I consider this a very serious and potentially life threatening safety problem. If this same thing had happened to me the prior evening when I was driving down a steep winding mountain road at 70 mph at night with no road lighting, the consequences could have been deadly since I would have lost all vehicle lighting, instrumentation, and power controls. Because of the suddenness of the failure, I suspect this was an electronic failure and not a mechanical failure - akin to your computer crashing. However, you computer does not crash while you are going down the road at 70 mph. Please investigate this advantage rent a car at phx rental terminal. On July 13 2011 we purchased a 2010 Chrysler Town and country with 28500 miles. Twice this month, my wife was driving our 2010 Chrysler Town and country and the engine shut off while she was driving. One of the times it happened while she pulled into a busy street and was very lucky to not have caused an accident. We know that this is an ongoing issue with these vehicles and that a recall has been issued. We took the van to lee automotive in fort walton beach Florida, and they said they would take a look at it. 8 hours later I picked the van up. The dealership said they could not duplicate the problem, they test drove it for only 2 miles. They said they looked at the ignition and that the right components are in place. So after 8 hours they did not fix anything. Called Chrysler Corp. And they told us that their database shows that our vehicle has not been serviced to close the recall and that it is still showing an open recall suspense. According to the NHTSA recall, they were supposed to replace the win ignition module which they did not do. We have four children and are very scared to drive our van. We do not know where else to turn and are hoping to be pointed in the right direction to resolve this issue and be able to get on the road without fear.

We received safety recall L25 for our 2010 Chrysler Town & Country van. Our dealer indicates there are very limited parts available and they would call us when they get the part in, but there are 30 people waiting ahead of us. We are concerned as our van engine shut off while driving on July 21 and we had to pull to the side of the road and restart the engine. Thank goodness we were not on an expressway. What can we do to get the replacement part so we do not end up having an accident.
