The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle experienced an electrical short. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V475000 (Steering) and 10V009000 (Service Braces, Hydraulic) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. The contact stated that while depressing the brakes, the vehicle began to shake abnormally with the illumination of the brake warning light and brake failure. The vehicle was taken to a local mechanic who was unable to diagnose the failure. The dealer denied any assistance with the repair. The manufacturer was contacted and advised that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign id number: 10V009000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 22,000 and the current mileage was 23,700.

The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Avenger. While driving approximately 50-55 mph, the contact stated that the vehicle hesitated and stalled. The contact restarted the vehicle which functioned properly. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer who could not duplicate the failure. The failure continued and the dealer was once again able to duplicate the failure. The throttle was replaced on the third visit but the failure continued. The manufacturer had not been notified. Also the contact stated that there was a problem with the brakes as they were noisy when the contact was driving in reverse. The brake pedal extended to the floorboard and popped back up when depressed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was 13,000 and the current mileage was 17,386.
