Basically, Dodge has designed a front end suspension system with no wishbone or lower control arm assembly. What you have are two lateral bars connecting front the frame to the knuckle; there is, however, an upper control arm. These lateral bars provide no stability in the suspension system, causing movement in the suspension system, thereby putting a lot of stress on the ball joints, bushings and tie rods. Dodge needed to put either a lower control arm or wishbone for greater stability. And now, I am stuck replacing front end components every 3 to 5 years. There needs to be a recall on this.

Charger RT 5.7L V8 Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 96,533 miles

I own a 2006 Dodge Charger with a 5.7L V8 HEMI Engine. It's been in the shop twice for problems with the front suspension system I.e inner/outer tie rods, ball joints and wheel bearings. All of my driving is done on Philadelphia highways. I believe the dealer sold me the vehicle in this condition. The cost is approximately a total of $1200 that has been spent out of pocket. I've had the same mechanic work on this vehicle twice.

I decided to go to YouTube and find out if anyone else has had the same problems. Guess what? Low and behold I was not alone! I have a family of four who ride in this vehicle on a daily basis, I would hate for them to be involved in an accident due to the problems with the vehicle and negligence of the Manufacturer who knew about an existing problem with their vehicles and chose to ignore it. This is a very serious matter which involve the lives of my family. It really needs to be seriously looked into before a tragedy occurs.

I do not understand why Chrysler/Dodge have not taken this matter serious, and did a recall of the suspension system parts. I am currently driving this vehicle and having lots of noise coming from the front when I hit bumps in the road and just driving on a smooth surface. Again, PLEASE HELP!!! This is an accident waiting to occur with deadly consequences. I have receipts of all the work that was done. HELP ME PLEASE ME AND THOSE WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS!!!!
