I have a 2000 Dodge Durango, and I have been experiencing, front suspension problems.when you are turning or driving at any rate of speed it makes a creeking noise, and a clicking noise. I took it to Goodyear and they told me the ball joints need to be replaced, upper and lower. There is only 52000 miles on my truck, I took it to the dealer and they said they can not duplicate the problem. The cost for repair is over $1000 dollars. With all the complaints you are reciiveing I think there should be a recall and the dealers should be repairing the problems at there expense.

Excessive tire wear on 2000 Dodge Durango. New front tires cupped after 5000 miles. Could this be related to a potential defect currently under investigation per a 7/22/03 news release?.

I own a 2000 Dodge Durango. On two differant occasions I have taken my Durango to the local Dodge dealer to have them investigate a popping sound in the front end of the truck. On both occasions they said there is nothing wrong and they can't find a problem with anything.

When going over ripples or bumps in the road at around 15 to 35 mph, you can hear a strange knocking noise coming from the right front suspension. Also, you can notice the looseness in the suspension when going over ripples when making a sharp right turn. A total of 3 times vehicle has been in shop (kims of laurel). The 1st time I took to be service, the dealer made a false statement that the rotors needed turning (I was charge for turning rotors when that wasn't the problem. After complaining, charges were waived). I was without out vehicle the 2nd time for a total of 18 days and the problem still wasn't solved. Had to take vehicle back the 3rd time and as soon as I drove off lot, the looseness and knocking noise was very noticeable when going over bumbs. Problem still exists. Very unhappy with service.

At 32,000 we had severe shaking while applying brakes. We took our truck in to have it looked at, shop said that front brake rotors were bad and had to be replaced, they could not be turned. Had them both replaced with after market rotors. A/C clutch assy replaced at 39000, at 40000 miles we noticed a groaning and sqeaking noise coming from the drivers front wheel when exiting the vehicle, and noticed an oily substance on driveway under truck. We had both problems looked at, found 4 bad ball joints 1 needs replacing imediately, also rack and pinion seals are bad. Est. $1700 to repair joints and rack. Ball joints are sealed and cannot be greased, they should last alot longer than 40000 miles.

Around 30,000 miles, noticed inner treads of front tires were getting low. Had alignment done around 20,000 miles and they said it wasn't neccessary. Went for another alignment at 44,000 because inner treads were now bald. Replaced tires and had alignment done. Problem, right ball joint is just about hanging off. Boot cover is fully stretched. Mechanic can't do alignment. Dodge says normal wear and tear (out of warranty). I don't think so, noticed alignment problem from start. Seems Dodge feels pulling is normal when driving.

Vehicle fishtails when riding over ripples and bad roads. Dealer rotated/balanced tires and aligned car. Still makes you feel you are going to loose control on bad roads. Tv program showed an account of a problem similiar to mine which dealt with a steering and stabilization defect. We nearly lost control when pulling an rv recently. Dealer didn't know what else to do about problem at the time.

Problems controlling steering, when hitting very small bumps on the highway. Car tends to jump and skip hard to the left or right, causing the driver to be forced to compensate hard on the steering wheel to keep the back end of the car from fishtailing. Problem keeps knocking car out of alignment & has now caused damage to both front tires. Have been advised by independant mechanics, that the wrong road conditions (rain, snow etc...) could very likely create a fatal outcome if this problem is not corrected.

When driving between 60-70mph vehicle would vibrate. Rear window was not sealed properly after replacement due to a scratch. Driver's window replaced due to regulator dragging. Electrical wires for air conditioner were pinched and failed to work. Vehicle sounds to have an electrical problem, windows have failed, door regulators failed, battery failed, and while driving the RPM, odometer, and trip meter all went to zero. Consumer had to replace Goodyear tires, no other tire information provided.

Vehicle has been in to the shop repeatedly for front end alignment problems. Currently working with attorney under California lemon law. Vehicle had two front defective tires that were replaced by Goodyear. The front end has been confirmed by two different dealerships as being out of aligment five times now. Vehicle initially pulled hard to the right at freeway speeds. After supposedly being repaired by the dealership, the vehicle started pulling hard to the left at freeway speeds. I feel that there is a safety issue because you have to significantly compensate "the pull" by holding the steering wheel at an angle. The pull of the vehicle is damaging the front tire that are currently on the vehicle. (tiresize: 31-1050R15)( dot number: Tire size: 31-1050R15 )

While driving vehicle would make funny noises in the front differential. Also, would pull to the right if steering wheel was let go & brakes not applied. Took vehicle to dealership & informed consumer it was a caster adjustment & it was already done. However, problem still existed. Took to dealership in Arizona, and informed consumer that it was a design flaw, and manufacturer knew about it.
