problem #2

Durango R/T 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

When I was checking the oil level I was unable to close the hood, irrespective of the amount of pressure or how many times I tried to close it

Drove it to FCA carefully as it was on the safety catch.

They said, oh yeah hood catch has gone and we can order this part no problem, following day I picked up the car

These shouldn't be a failure on a car and the part plus labor was $450 - that's downright robbery.. For the catch and labor should have been $100 Max!

I just opened the bonnet and it will catch but not close. its really odd, its been fine for 4 years and now this, it seems another issue with Dodge Durango that I'm finding... It's time to sell, me thinks.
