Grand Caravan LE 3.4L

When the outside temperature get above the mid 80's, the engine likes to die as you are coming up to a stop. You can start it right back up, but it will die again unless you keep the engine RPM's about 1300. Ten years ago the engine control computer was replaced and seemed to solve problem for a couple of years--then came back slowly, but it is getting more frequent as time goes on. There is a definite correlation to the outside temp. My daughter had someone tell her that loosening the gas (fill) cap will help . I tried this a couple of times and it did help.--I would like to know the correct fix for this issue?

Grand Caravan 3.3L V6

  • Automatic transmission

I have bought a used battery, and now a new one. It's obviously not the battery. I have tried other batteries as well. I have 3 children to get to school and then to my job in time. This is so terrible because i have to drop my girls off a lot earlier and i don't like that much. I can't afford to take it to the mechanic as i am a single parent and the girls have got to come 1st. The van will only start with a boost and will only drive until i let off the gas pedal. I need some serious help in order to find out the problem.
