This relates to Chrysler safety recall L25 for wireless ignition node. Our van shuts off while driving without any warning and there is no steering and braking. This is the primary vehicle we carry 2 young children in and it is extremely upsetting that this recall has not been addressed. Our van shut off 3 times in the last 2 weeks while carrying our kids. The local dealership reports there is a national back-order and no parts are available to fix it. How is this possible" what are we supposed to do" this is very unsafe and totally unacceptable! please help!

While driving down the road at slow speed in the neighborhood, the car randomly shuts off. The power steering, the power brakes and the engine stop working. It is happening now more frequently - twice today and my wife and kids nearly had a head on accident. Luckily the other car was able to swerve to miss our van otherwise there would have been a head-on. I took the car to my dealership several times over the last few months based on a recall notice that was issued for the van. I was told that they do not have the parts to fix it and that they have no idea when the parts will be available. How many people need to be hurt by this issue before they start delivering the parts to fix it?

The vehicle started on it's own, along with the doors locking and the lights came on. The keys were not anywhere near the vehicle and it does not have remote start. It just came on completely by itself.

I was driving at 45 mph when suddenly van revved up from 1500 RPM to 3500 RPM, and speed went down to 30 mph. Somehow I got my car to my work place and parked it. I suspected my transmission had gone bad. I decided to take my car to a transmission shop. I drove the van at 30 mph at 3500 RPM to the transmission shop. Their technician drove the van around, did some other inspection and reported that there was no problem with my transmission. However he mentioned there was a electrical power loss which made my van go into limp mode. Remarkably my van started driving normally after the inspection. I took my van to authorized Dodge dealer. They pulled some codes from the computer which indicated power loss to several equipment. They suspected the tipm module, but did not have hard evidence from the codes. They advised me to leave van overnight at the service area, and have them check it out. I declined because arranging alternate transportation was difficult. Today morning, while driving the van, wiper blade suddenly started running. It stopped on its own after few cycles. Now I am unable to start the van. Reading through forums where drivers have experienced similar issues, I am confident it is the tipm on my van. It is a safety issue, since I drive on the freeway a lot, and if van goes into limp mode, it will be a hazard. Looks like Dodge is aware of this issue. Why don't they accept the situation and deal with it by issuing a safety recall and fixing the tipm. Please force Dodge to issue recall, else I will need to spend $1000 atleast to fix tipm.

The vehicle randomly shuts off completely as you are driving down the road. It has happened several times and most recently happened while my wife was going 40 mph down the road. It seems to be getting worse.

My car turned off completely when the key fob turned by itself. My vehicle narrowly missed being rear ended by a tractor trailer, whose driver jumped out screaming at me. I reported the problem to the dealer and he said car had been recalled for that problem, they did not have the part. I drove from SC to NJ! scary. Recall number is L25/nhtsa14V-373. I also reported this to Chrysler on Sept 25, 2014. My case number is 8R117647. My van turned off a second time. I have contacted Chrysler three times on this matter and they have no idea when the part will be available. They refused to pay for a rental car saying that the part would be available anywhere from a few weeks to up to a year.your website says that the part is available but my dealership said they do not have the part as of today. Can you please help? I am scared to death to be out driving. Any help would be appreciated.

On multiple occasions beginning in June '14 my 08 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT would have random electrical malfunctions including synced, intermittent activation of horns, front wipers, rear wipers, front washer fluid spray, rear washer fluid spray, and door locks. These issues would generally come together in "episodes" that could last from about a minute to about 10 minutes. These episodes could occur in rapid succession, separated by only a few seconds, or they might have 5-10 minutes or sometimes days between happenings. This would cause sudden loss of visibility while driving, as the sprayers would cover the windshield with drops but the wipers would not complete a pass to remove the fluid. It was particularly dangerous at night, since the drops would refract light and make visibility almost zero. This also resulted in being locked out of the vehicle on multiple occasions, once with children trapped inside!! while the problems were happening, the remote "clicker" could not be used to unlock or open doors or lift-gate. The only way to enter the vehicle was to use the physical key and force the lock to turn against the pressure of the powered door lock motor repeatedly re-locking the doors other intermittent problems: Transmission would not advance beyond 2nd gear, the check engine light would come on, the dashboard lights would flash and flicker, the back-up camera would flicker (the image is displayed on the radio's screen when the vehicle is in reverse), the dashboard displays would all be turned off or to zero (including tachometer even though the engine was running), and the engine would not shut off with the key switched to "off" and completely removed. Now, the wipers have stopped working completely, which is a perpetual safety issue, until the problems can be solved. Koons Dodge of tysons corner said the problem was the tpim (totally integrated power module).

There is a current recall on our vehicle, the L25 win module detention ring. The vehicles key can move into the accessory mode and the car shuts off, no power steering, no bower brakes, no airbag etc. Vehicle just rolls to a stop. This has happened 5 times while my wife is driving the car with our 3 children inside. This is extremely dangerous for my family and others on the roadway. Dodge does not have the part to fix my vehicle and can not tell me when this part will come available. They are not willing to do anything for me and just tell me they understand my situation and they are sorry. I'm told by Dodge customer service, 800-334-9200 that they have been aware of this problem since 2011. I would hope that you can follow up with Dodge as this is a huge safety concern.

Van was parked in our garage. We got in to go to church and the van would not start!! I put my foot on the brake and it was rock-hard and when I turned the key it just clicked and tried to start then died. I continued to try to start by moving the shift lever/hitting the brake/turning the key and the van started and we went to church. Today, 10/29/14, I parked my van at winn-dixie and went inside to shop. When I returned to leave the same symptoms exhibited and finally the van started. I called my dealer and was told that it may be associated with the recall on my key fob electronic shifter recall, but there were no parts available yet. I was also asked if there was an engine light that went on and I said no. I was told that then they could not check on their computers for the problem unless the "check engine light" had exhibited. So, here I am--------------------what should I do"???"

Driving on the thruway with my family the van stalled twice without warning, although it would restart immediately and luckily there wasn't so much traffic. Have been having issues with dashboard lights(emergency brake, esp/bas, ABS & traction) coming on every time I turn on the van and start driving. The sliding doors either open by themselves or don't want to close, I have to repeatedly push the buttons to get it to close and also at times the door stops halfway and starts clicking. I had previously taken the van to a Dodge dealer where they "fixed" the door problem, but after some time it again began with the same problem. My transmission constantly keeps shifting to 6th gear so I either have to turn off the van or shift down the gear to D in order to open or close the doors. The ignition key has been getting stuck on acc and doesn't want to come out. This is a very serious situation that needs to be addressed asap, before someone looses their life! the manufacturer needs to take action and make the necessary measures and precautions to protect the lives of consumers, not just the ones that are driving these unsafe vehicles but as well as those that are around us!!! (for many of us, this is our only transportation to get to and from work or like myself drive the kids to school and activities).
