When pressing the button to unlock my doors, my right rear automatic sliding door makes a loud buzzing sound. It only happens when the button to unlock or when I open my door from the front, the car automatically unlocks all the doors. Basically when ever the doors are unlocked in any way. The right back sliding door makes a loud buzzing noise. I have been looking at some reviews and found out there are a lot of others having same problem with the same scenario and same door. It happens every time I unlock the doors.
Regarding 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, base model except for stow-N-go seats; no power windows. Vehicle purchased new in May 2017; probably had been sitting on the lot for close to a year. We've put on 32625 miles to date. With no warning, driver side sliding (translating) door power lock froze in locked position with door shut. Cannot move lock lever, manually or electrically and cannot open door from inside or outside the vehicle. Will be disassembling door lining panels from inside the vehicle to troubleshoot the problem. Anticipate having to replace door lock actuator or, at the least, freeing up the lock to restore function. Note: This driver's side door gets more lock-unlock cycles than the passenger side door as the key fob "unlock" button actuates the driver side doors with the first push, then unlocks the rest of the doors on the second push. "interior view" photo shows the beginning of my disassembly process. Need special tool to remove side panel.
Sliding door lock will not unlock. It is stuck in the lock position. Can not unlock it through remote, interior switch or manually. The door is shut and will not open, which is a safety hazard. Vehicle was parked when I went to do groceries. Returned to vehicle and the drivers side sliding door would not unlock.
I have a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and every time I unlock the door or lock it it makes this loud buzzing noise, the door works fine it opens and close. But when using the unlock button everyone can hear the load buzzing noise.

The contact owns a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vents would blow out hot air. The contact had to turn the indicator off in oder for the hot air to stop. The contact mentioned that the driver side sliding door opened while in motion with the door ajar indicator warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the kolosso Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram located at (2701 w college ave, appleton, wi 54914) where it was diagnosed and determined that the actuator and door latch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired several times however the failure recurred intermittently. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage 18,205.
While driving the vehicle the sliding rear driver side door pops open and close causing the dome light to come on and a door ajar message appear on the dash. Need to pull over and push rear sliding driver side door shut to reset door. When using dual climate the front passenger vents and rear vents blow hot air even when switching to A/C. we brought van to dealership while under warranty to fix issues but still have on going issues. We brought the A/C issue in for repair 4 times since 2018. We brought the door issue in for repair multiple times since 2018 as well. Sometime not receiving paperwork from the dealership because they didn't write any up. It is a concern when driving with my children in back if the door does open while I'm driving. Another concern is the heat blowing on them during summer because the A/C malfunctions in the rear and passenger vents. Has happened at various dates with different milage. Has happened multiple times.
There is a loud buzzing noise when the rear driver side door locks, the door works fine it opens and closes. But when using the unlock button or aut lock you can hear the load buzzing noise. I believe this is a common problem that should be a recall to all of these cars so that they can be fixed
I have a 2016 Grand Caravan with 52000. The driver side rear sliding door is stuck shut in the lock position. I can not get it unlocked to open door. It had been working good all day. I got home to take my kids out of their car seat but the door wouldn't open. Tried with the fob, door lock switch and manually unlock it but it won't budge. What's it going to take to get a recall on this. My child getting killed (god forbid) and me sueing Dodge and NHTSA. There are certainly have been enough complaints about this happening.
Van makes a loud buzzing sound when lock and unlock or open doors. There has been many complaints by owners of same model posted on carguru.com etc. It appears this should be a recall item as it is very loud and frightening to passengers etc
Both electric door locks on the sliding doors make a noise every time the doors lock and unlock. One of the doors stuck in the lock position and would not unlock or open. Had it fixed but is making the noise again along with the door on the other side. Could be a safety issue if I can open the doors! one of the back windows will not roll down anymore and the entertainment system doesn't work anymore. All electrical problems!
Driver's side back sliding door is stuck shut and in locked position. Will not open with remote or manually. Can't get it opened at all. Passengers side sliding door makes loud buzzing noise when unlocking it.
We have problems with both the rear passenger and rear driver side sliding doors on our 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan R/T. the van had about 37,000 miles on it at the time of the first incident. The rear sliding doors were not unlocking to open them while we were stoped, and in park. This happened in a public parking lot. The issue with this is, we couldn't open the doors to let our kids out of the van. The open/close sliding door switch in the van would not open them, neither would the key fob. We tried to unlock it manually on the door itself, but the lock was stuck in the locked position. I used a lot of force to unlock it manually with no luck. The actuators that power the mechanical locks felt like they were jammed and wouldn't let us unlock the doors manually. I finally was able to get it unlocked by forcing and holding the manual lock in the unlock position while hitting the key fob unlock/lock feature over and over again. It took me 10 minutes to troubleshoot this in order to get the kids out. It now works for awhile just fine, and then gets stuck again when you least expect it. I thought after I had it working that it wouldn't happen again. This has now happened five more times after the first incident. This is why I'm reporting it. If we have a emergency and need to get out of the vehicle fast, these defective doors could potentially cause injuries or death. The scariest part about this is, I never know when they will act up. I would leave the doors unlocked while driving, but they automatically lock when you reach a certain speed. I shouldn't have to disable a safety feature to feel safe driving this vehicle with passengers in the back.
We stopped to get gay gas while on vacation, everyone exited the van and shut all the doors. When we came back and I pushed the button on the key fob to open the slider doors open O ly the passenger side door opened. I went to open it from the inside and it wouldn't budge. I unlocked all doors and still won't open. It feels as though the manual lock is jammed on lock position!. I feel this is a safety issue. If there were a need to open that door in an emergency it would not work! I have also read on multiple chat sites of other people with this problem. I feel it needs a recall so it gets fixed.
