The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the vehicle would not immediately start-up when turning the ignition key. On several occasions, while driving, the vehicle shut-off without warning. After readjusting the ignition key, the vehicle was able to be restarted. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V373000 (Electrical System). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 60,000.
Drove to the park, parked the car. Went for a walk, came back 20 minutes later, car would not start. Turn the key, no sound, all dash light come one, car will not crank, no sound at all. towed the car to my house, and charged battery for a full day. Car same issue, will not crank, no noise. I turn the key to on, press on the brake and move to neutral, and car still no start. I use the remote starter, and car just clicks a few times and does not start. Basically turning the key to start, lights come on as usual, then no noise no crank no start. this is third day of trying to start this car, never had issues with it for over a year, and never with starting car. No warnings at all, no lights on to show anything bad before this, and no warning after it happened, scanner show no faulty codes detected. From the park waited to be towed and got home after 10 PM, safety, it got dark, it rained and unreliable to just not start.
Vehicle loses power while driving. Sometimes it will not start being stranded with kids as this vehicle was produced as a family car. Had battery, alternator, starter replaced. Have read numerous reports from google about vehicle not starting due to safety security features, problems with the fuse box, needing a yellow wire grounded that is located under the hood, and so on. If this is a know issue with these vehicles for over 10yrs why has it not been recalled to be fixed. As I drive the vehicle on the freeway with MY KIDS in it endaragering our lives and the many others who are on the road with me and the countless other dodge journey drivers. FIX THIS ISSUE. MAKE DODGE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKE AS THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID.

On our way to the coast my headlight went out completely and had to use only to day lights and fog light no headlight would come on they would only flicker. I was still a hour from the coast and 3 hours from home in the middle of the night. The horn goes off randomly and is annoying same with the wind shield wipers. They go at random and are not needed.the horn is when I am stationary. The wipers go at anytime moving or stopped. The car acts possessed. I am scared to drive at night due to the headlights functionality I had my nephew with me when I had the headlights stop working and I will not put him in danger again. This needs fixed.
I have been having problems with the horn sounding off on its own. Windshield wipers running by them selves. Headlights flashing and problems with picking up speed. I have checked all ground wires and fuses and everything is in tack

The contact steered the vehicle off the main road and shifted the gear shifter into park to restart the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to atlantic Dodge Chrysler Jeep (2330 us 1 saint augustine, fl 32086, (904)797-4383) however, the vehicle was not diagnosed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 86,000.
While driving car just turns off for no reason. When pushing the remote start button window roll down. Heated seats will not come on but for a second or two. This has happened several times.
Car intermittently does not start. It happens on a daily basis. Replaced starter, battery, alternator, fuses, cleaned all connectors, solenoid, neutral safety switch.. still has issues. You have to put the car in neutral to get it started. Key fob won't start car, it just clicks. Putting the key in the ignition wont start the car. I've had the car for 3 months and it spent 1 month with the mechanic. Nothing seems to fix this problem and Dodge won't help us.
Was driving at approximately 30 miles an hour on a turning road onto a highway and vehicle shut off. Lost all power steering and brakes were hard. Had to immediately get over to the side of the road to avoid traffic coming from the rear as I lost lights as well and may not have been seen as it was dark and the vehicle is black. When pulled over I put the vehicle in park and attempted to restart. After the 2nd time turning the key it started. No check engine lights are present on the car other than a TPMS sensor.
Two times I was driving down the highway and vehicle shut down. I was parked then tried to start an would not start. It has a remote start an starts on its own an windows roll down on their own. When I get near the vehicle with the key fab the lights come on an sometimes without pushing the button on key fab it starts on its own. I have been driving an went to turn in driveway an it shut down. Stopped at stoplight an it shut down. It has always started back up except for one time I had to maneuver the key a certain way in ignition before it would start.

The contact was also locked inside the vehicle after the locking mechanism malfunctioned. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer who diagnosed that the tipm was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failures however, no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 40,000.

The horn begins to sound on its own and at short and/or long burts and a combination of both while driving or parked all hours of the day. There is no way to stop this. This can cause severe accidents!
My car is shutting off while I'm driving down the road. I almost crashed last night, this is the third time it's happened over the last month. My dad is not allowing me to drive it any longer and I still owe on it so that's not okay. I'm a foster parent to 4 children and our safety is always important but this car is a death trap waiting to happen.
THE CAR WILL NOT START....I CAN JUMP IT...GET IT RUNNING BUT THEN WITHIN 2 HOURS IT IS COMPLETELY DEAD I HAVE REPLACED EVERYTHING AND NOTHING IS WORKING FROM WHAT I HAVE READ THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE DODGE JOURNEY AND THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED BY DODGE....THIS IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT ALSO WILL STALL OUT WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD....PLEASE PLEASE RESEARCH THIS AND MAKE DODGE DO SOMETHING...I HAVE HAD IT AT THE DEALER AND THEY SAY EVERYTHING TESTS OUT FINE WITH IT....MY 16 YEAR OLD SON DRIVES THIS VEHICLE AND IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO HIM BECAUSE OF THE CAR MALFUNCTION I WILL SUE THE [XXX]OFF DODGE !!!
