CarComplaints.com Notes: A frustrating electrical issue is causing an ever-present “door ajar†warning light for 2011-2013 Ford Edge owners. Even with the doors latched shut, faulty sensors convince the vehicle’s computer they aren’t. With no way to override the system, owners have no choice but to stare at the warning light, listen to the warning chimes when the car is stopped, and deal with interior lights that won’t shut off.
I can not keep the keys in the ignition while parked but still in the car. I drive people to appointments but wait in the car for them. I have to literally pull the key out of the ignition because a bell constantly goes off until you remove the key.
50% of the time when I take my key out of ignition it doesn't turn off and I get beeping like the key is still in the ignition. Even though I removed it and I have to put it back in and turn it or toggle it to get the beeping to stop.
After turning off car and removing keys, the 'keys in ignition' indicator sound is heard after opening door to exit vehicle. Can get it to turn off by inserting key, turning to auxilary, turning back, and removing - sometimes takes 3 or 4 times.
More annoying than anything, but one of these days its going to trick me into locking my keys in my car.
